South Oakland Warming Center

Welcome to the information page for the South Oakland Warming Center (SOWC). SOWC is a "walk in" center that provides a hot dinner, bedding, breakfast and a sack lunch.

Berkley Community Church and The Shrine of the Little Flower Parish work together with the South Oakland Citizens for the Homeless (SOCH) to host the warming center at Berkley Community Church.

We are looking for volunteers for a variety of volunteer positions for the two weeks that the warming center will be at Berkley Community Church. Please click on the arrow to view position descriptions under the categories listed below.
