Shepherd, hymn-writer, warrior, adulterer, murderer, broken, redeemed.
The life of David is a page-turner from beginning to end. He was a king like no other before, and like no other after until the King of all Kings was born. And yet it was this great, yet flawed man, that God said was a man after My own heart.
On one hand, David seeks and longs after God. He prays and pleads for His presence and His leading. But then David also struggled with lust, pride, deception, not leading his family well.
David's life offers hope to all of us. It shows that God can do extraordinary things through ordinary men and women. While we are just regular people living in the 21st century, we also can be men and women after God's own heart. In our journey through the life of David we will gain an isightful perspective on what it means to pursue, worship, serve, and be forgiven by God.
To lead our community in a life changing, ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
